FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Can neuro orthotics help after a stroke?
Yes. Neuro orthoses — including AFOs, stance-control braces, and devices like the C-Brace — support weak or paralyzed limbs to improve walking safety and reduce the energy it takes to move after stroke, spinal cord injury, or neuromuscular conditions.
What is foot drop and how is it treated?
Foot drop is difficulty lifting the front of the foot, which can cause tripping. An ankle-foot orthosis (AFO) or functional bracing helps clear the foot and stabilize the ankle as you walk.
When should bracing start after a stroke?
Often during rehabilitation, coordinated with your therapy team — appropriate bracing can support safer mobility earlier. We work directly with your physiatrist and therapists.
Is neuro bracing covered by insurance?
Medically necessary orthoses are covered with a prescription. We verify your benefits and document medical necessity.
